Chaos, a word that sounds familiar during the last day of school.  The school community clearly understands what I mean.  The germ of anxiety grows in students, they are desperate to get out of school.  For example: They are more restless than usual or constantly ask how long it takes to get out.  Contrary to previous years this last day of classes was quiet, the boys were happy because they would go on vacation, but not desperate to leave.  They enjoyed their last day, quiet, sharing and some finishing one that other work.

It may sound trite but students who have the pleasure of attending this year are an example of humility. They are kind to each other, share the little or much they have, but above all they are friendly and respectful.

This year, all the gifts were handmade by the boys spontaneously. Cards made by them with beautiful messages and two guys, came with chocolates, ummm chocolate.  Hugs? Of those there were everywhere.

Every day I learn more about the meaning of the Latin American concept. In our classroom we are from different places, all Spanish speaking. Our jargon and culture vary, but there are more things that unite us, that make us feel a common affection.  In our classroom we live the Latin American being.

This end of the first semester was different, we went on vacation to rest, but not to escape.  I love these guys.
